Professional director, David Glover, has joined the Trust Horizon Board as the newest appointed Trustee.

Glover has more than 30 years’ senior executive experience, spent across the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand. His career has spanned commercial and multinational boards, industry associations, government, not-for-profit organisations, and start-ups. He is also a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the Institute of Management and Leadership.

After an international marketing career, Glover moved into the education sector as CEO of a number of private and government-owned businesses. “David has governance experience across a range of industries, which means he has a broad skill-set to offer as a Trustee,” says Trust Horizon Chairman, Aaron Milne. “His commercial acumen with brands and sponsorships, combined with his experience in education and business training, made him a very strong candidate.”

In 2020, Trust Horizon announced a new strategic direction, focusing on initiatives and projects that will bring long-term benefits to the greater community. Glover believes the move towards impact investing is an exciting one. “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to bring this new direction to life,” he says.

Glover steps into one of Trust Horizon’s two appointed Trustee positions, filling the role left behind by Don Lewell, who is departing the Trust after more than 10 years on the Board. “It will be great to be at the heart of an organisation that’s so important to the region, and has such a positive impact on the community through financial support and activities,” says Glover. “I look forward to contributing to a strong and experienced team of Trustees.”
